Changes Coming April 1, 2021 for North Little Rock and Sherwood

The Regional Recycling & Waste Reduction District is charged with coordinating solid waste services throughout the county. Each city or town within the county and the county itself operate garbage and recycling services within their borders. And they sometimes have different rules about customer services.

One such difference will occur on Thursday, April 1. That’s when the new contract with Waste Management begins for Little Rock, North Little Rock and Sherwood. Here’s what will be different: Beginning April 1, residential customers only in North Little Rock and only in Sherwood will be allowed to put empty glass bottles and jars in their curbside recycling cart. This will not be the case in Little Rock, which will continue to prohibit glass in curbside carts. Also, there will continue to be a no-glass policy for curbside carts in the unincorporated areas of the county. For more information, go to MyDoRight.com.
