CURBSIDE RECYCLING

It’s a short distance from the house to the curb.

Doing recycling right means only certain items go in your curbside recycle cart: empty plastic bottles and jugs with the caps on; empty aluminum, steel, and tin cans; paper, stationery, newspapers, magazines and catalogs, junk mail, paperboard, and cardboard. Empty food and beverage cartons are only accepted in Little Rock, North Little Rock, Sherwood, Maumelle, and the unincorporated areas of the county, but not in Jacksonville. ONLY IN NORTH LITTLE ROCK AND SHERWOOD can you place empty clear, brown and green glass bottles and jars in curbside recycling carts.

Important reminder: If you put cereal boxes in the cart, remember to remove the plastic liner and put it in the trash. And remember to break down and flatten all cardboard boxes to fit inside your cart.
