Cardboard is Everywhere!

With more and more of us shopping online, we find cardboard boxes on our doorsteps as often as mail in our mailboxes. So, remember: cardboard is recyclable. In fact, it is one of the most recyclable items in the waste stream. Recycling cardboard conserves energy and natural resources, and helps reduce the pollution of sulfur dioxide that comes from manufacturing new cardboard out of raw materials. Corrugated cardboard, like shipping boxes, and paperboard, like cereal boxes without the plastic inside, can all go in your recycle cart – empty and clean (throw the greasy pizza box lid in the garbage!). But be sure and breakdown the cardboard so it is flat and can fit inside your cart. That’s doing recycling right. For more information, go to MyDoRight.com.
