The Three “R’s”
The year is half over! So, we thought it would be a good time to reacquaint you with the 3 R’s of the environment: Reduce. Reuse. Recycle. We’ve read recently the 1944 War Advertising Council’s slogan during WWII, “Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without!” Wisdom from a time when the whole country pulled together for a common goal. And today, we know there are many things that make us similar rather than different. One of them is our shared environment and the need to reduce waste, reuse consumer items, and recycle those commodities that have served their useful purpose. In the weeks ahead, we will be reminding you of the planet- and money-saving practices we hope will become a habit. And we’ll suggest practical ways to get started. Remember the 3 Rs: Reduce. Reuse. Recycle. And remember, too, it all begins with you.
