Size Matters When Recycling
Plastic bottles and jugs go in your curbside recycling cart. You knew that. Right? And you also knew that before you put them in your cart, they should be empty. Good job! But just because an item is made of plastic doesn’t mean it is recyclable. No big storage containers. No plastic swing seats. No plastic poles, cords, or hoses. They go in the trash. Water bottles, detergent and milk jugs, and juice bottles all go in the cart. So, use your best judgement and recycle items that are the right size. If the plastic container fits in the refrigerator, or under the sink, or in the cabinet, it will probably go in the cart. But first make sure it’s empty.
