Reusing Household Items

If you reuse items around the house, you’ll have less trash and less recyclable material. And less is more. More landfill space for real garbage; more clean water from less stuff in gutters, streams, rivers and oceans; more clean air from less carbon emitted from landfill decomposition and other carbon sources; and more economic development and jobs from businesses that want to locate and thrive in an environmentally responsible community. It all works together.

So, reduce and reuse. It’s part of the Regional Recycling District’s mission. And then when you have recyclable material that has outlived its usefulness, place it in your curbside recycling cart so new products can be made from it, starting the cycle all over again.
