Recycling Pickup Day Changes, Part II
Little Rock is growing. And so is garbage and recycling. Because of new and shifting populations due to residential developments and annexations, meaning more people and more garbage and more recycling, Little Rock garbage and recycling pick-up days have changed. But only for some.
In fact, the residents that will experience the change should have by now received a postcard and a notice on your door – called a door hanger. The reason? To keep garbage out of your way. And to do that, garbage will still be picked up every week, and recyclable items picked up every other week (the recycling weeks remain the same).
However, due to these populations changes and to maintain efficient services for Little Rock residents, some recycling and garbage pick-up days have moved forward a day from Monday to Tuesday, Tuesday to Wednesday, and Wednesday to Thursday; while some (344 residences) will move back a day from Wednesday to Tuesday. It all depends on where you live.
Don’t be left out. Get that stuff picked up. For more information and to get questions answered, please call the Little Rock city services number at 311 (this is a non-emergency number).
