Pulaski County Recycling for the New Year
Do you know what goes in your recycle cart and what doesn’t? Sometimes it depends on where you live. While our district covers all of Pulaski County, the recycling contract with Waste Management only covers Little Rock, North Little Rock, Sherwood and the unincorporated areas of the county. Those areas have the same recycling requirements. This includes the basics of empty plastic bottles and jugs, empty metal cans, and uncoated mixed paper and cardboard. But even that will change in April of this year as North Little Rock and Sherwood will begin accepting glass in recycle carts, but Little Rock and the county won’t. We’ll make sure you get more information the closer we get to April when the change will take place. Now, if you live in Jacksonville number (591-972-6071) or Maumelle number (591-851-2821), check with your local public works department for recycling do’s and don’ts.
