Recycling Your Electronics the Green Way
Did Santa bring you that new computer, television, phone, game console, or kitchen appliance, or other electronic items for Christmas? Congrats! But that probably means you have a few old electronics (called e-waste) that are ready to be retired to the electronic graveyard. When it comes to disposing of old electronics, there are proper ways to do so.

It is important to remember that you should never put your electronics in the curbside recycling cart. But above all else, never illegally dump your electronic waste, or any waste for that matter, outside. We all see those illegal dump sites on the side of the road and out in nature, but that does not mean they are safe or legal options. Dump sites are a crime scene and e-waste contain hazardous materials like lead and mercury. These chemicals are detrimental to human health and the environment. That is why e-waste should always be disposed of properly to help preserve our health, natural resources, and local wildlife.

Office Equipment – Copiers, Printers, Fax Machines, Surge Protectors, and Typewriters
Audio/Video Equipment – Televisions, DVD Players, Game Systems, VCRs, Stereos, Cameras, and Radios
Handheld Devices – Mobile Phones, Pagers, Calculators, PDAs, and Two-Way Radios
