CURBSIDE RECYCLING
It’s a short distance from the house to the curb.
Doing recycling right means only certain items go in all curbside recycle carts: Empty glass bottles and jars with the lids on (all clear, brown, and green glass is acceptable); empty plastic bottles and jugs with the caps on (#1s and #2s); clamshell containers (#1s only); reusable plastic beverage bottles (#7s only); empty aluminum, steel, and tin cans; paper, stationery, newspapers, magazines, catalogs, junk mail, paperboard and cardboard; empty food and beverage cartons. (Flatten all cardboard to fit inside the cart. Remove plastic liners from paperboard boxes, like cereal boxes.)
Important reminder: If you put cereal boxes in the cart, remember to remove the plastic liner and put it in the trash. And remember to break down and flatten all cardboard boxes to fit inside your cart.
