Reducing, Reusing, and Recycling!
Reducing your waste can be easily done.
Use reusable tote bags for grocery shopping, or putting your produce in, instead of plastic bags. You can reduce your use of plastic and save money by getting a reusable water bottle. Reducing the amount of paper you use by going digital! You can do this by reading the news and magazines online.
Reusing items saves money, conserves resources, and satisfies our creative urge!
Containers can be used for several school projects. You can peel off the labels on glass jars to be used as drink containers, food containers, planters, and storage. Use your imagination, this is your time to get creative!
Recycling is simple if you follow the rules.
The following items are ACCEPTED in your recycling cart: Empty plastic bottles and jugs. Empty aluminum, steel, and tin cans. Paper, cardboard, empty cartons, newspaper, junk mail, and paperboard (Flatten all cardboard to fit inside the recycling cart).
The following items are NOT ACCEPTED in your recycling cart: NO plastic grocery bags, trash bags, or any plastic bags of any kind (take grocery bags back to your grocery store to be recycled).
