Monday Holiday Alters Recycling Pick-Up Schedule: Trash and Recycling Services to be Affected

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (February 18, 2022) – The Regional Recycling & Waste Reduction District in Pulaski County, in partnership with Waste Management (WM), mailed in January the recycling holiday schedules for residential households. The schedule lists in calendar format curbside pick-ups from WM in Little Rock, North Little Rock, Sherwood, and the unincorporated areas of Pulaski County. WM also services trash pick-up in the unincorporated areas of the county. The cities of Maumelle, Jacksonville, and Cammack Village service their own trash and recycling pick-ups or drop-offs, and are not included in the annual calendar.

Curbside recycling carts are emptied every other week. Carts should be placed at the curb by 7 a.m. on pick-up day. In Little Rock, the calendar identifies residential pick-up by green weeks or gold weeks. To determine the pick-up week by residential area in Little Rock, customers may go to LRecycles.org. At the site, under Residential Recycling, click on Pick-Up Day & Week. The Little Rock pick-up days and weeks are shown there via interactive map. North Little Rock and Sherwood curbside recycling carts are picked up on green weeks only.

Pulaski County Unincorporated (Trash and Recycling)

Presidents Day and Daisy Gaston Bates Day (Monday, February 21) – No routes will run on Monday, February 21, but will resume and run one day late Tuesday through Saturday.
Memorial Day (Monday, May 30) No routes will run Monday, May 30, but will resume and run one day late, Tuesday through Saturday.
Independence Day (Monday, July 4) – No routes will run on Monday, July 4, but will resume and run one day late, Tuesday through Saturday.
Labor Day (Monday, September 5) – No routes will run on Monday, September 5, but will resume and run one day late, Tuesday through Saturday.
