Curbside Recycling

Nothing could be easier! Just put your recyclable items in the designated container at your curb once each week - we do the rest.
Each municipality accepts different items in their curbside recycling program. All municipalities accept newspaper with inserts and aluminum cans. Many accept much more.

Drop Off Recycling

We offer convenient drop-off centers around Pulaski County on designated days.
|
Household Chemicals
|
We now offer five sites for the collection of household chemicals, including household solvents and cleaners, car batteries, fluorescent light bulbs and more.

Electronic Recycling
|
Electronics cannot be mixed with regular municipal solid waste due to their content of lead and other toxins. We maintain six centers especially for disposal of household, residential quantities of computers, printers, televisions, VCRs, cell phones, and microwaves.

Tire Disposal
|
The District participates with three other central Arkansas regional solid waste management districts and administers the Inter District Waste Tire Management Program. Through this initiative, the four districts provide waste tire collection as well as recycling and disposal services for the thirteen counties in the service area. Since its inception, the program has collected and processed well over eight MILLION tires.

Construction and Demolition Debris
|
In 2007, we opened the first construction and demolition debris recycling facility in Arkansas in partnership with L&W Environmental - just of I-530 at the Dixon Road exit in Pulaski County. This facility accepts lumber, concrete, brick, shingles, cardboard, plastics and white goods.

Garbage and Yard Waste

All municipalities in Pulaski County offer garbage and yard waste collection. By law, yard waste must be separate from regular garbage.
