Accepted Materials

Newspapers, aluminum cans

Steel and aluminum cans, plastic bottles, glass, cardboard, paper, magazines, newspapers, junk mail, plastic grocery and retail bags.

Green Station

Accepted Materials:
Used oil, gasoline, and anti-freeze. Fluorescent lights 4' and 8' in length; compact fluorescent lights (CFLs). Household batteries. Only household quantities accepted. NO OTHER MATERIALS ACCEPTED.

Electronic Recycling

Accepted Materials:
Household, residential quantities of: Computers, Copiers, DVD players, Paper shredders, Printers, Televisions, VCRs, Phones, Stereos, Radios, Fax machines, and Microwave ovens. (Five items per visit.)

Location and time same as Green Station (above).

Tire Disposal

You may turn in up to four passenger or light truck tires (under 19”) per day free. There is a $4 fee for each tire over four in a day or for larger truck tires.

Lumber Concrete, Brick, Shingles, Cardboard, Plastics, White goods.

The L&W site is just off I-530 at the Dixon Road exit in Pulaski County.

2013 Curbside Recycling Updates

Electronics Recycling & Green Station Recycling Are Located At Same Sites

 All green stations accept the following items:

  • BATTERIES: Household batteries
  • Used Oil
  • Used Gasoline
  • Used Anti-freeze
  • 4' Fluorescent lights
  • 8' Fluorescent lights
  • Compact Fluorescent lights (CFLs)

NO OTHER MATERIALS WILL BE ACCEPTED AT GREEN STATIONS.

NO MATERIALS WILL BE ACCEPTED FROM BUSINESSES, CHURCHES,SCHOOLS OR GOVERNMENTAL OPERATIONS.

ALL SITES ARE MONITORED AND ILLEGAL DUMPING WILL RESULT IN PROSECUTION.

  • PAINT IS NOT RECYCLED: Add sand, sawdust or cat litter to paint products and let them air dry.When completely dry, leave the lid off and place can of dried paint and lid in regular trash
